Anchoring innovation in the European Renewables Energy Directive’s revision (RED III)
We were asked by European lawmakers to share our thoughts on how to integrate support for high-impact innovation in the process of revising upcoming legislation on renewables. For this, we teamed up with our friends from EUREC – The Association of European Renewable Energy Research Centres.
Our recommendation of 5% for innovative renewables was included as indicative target in the provisional deal:
We should adopt specific sub-targets for innovative RES within the renewable energy targets in RED III.
