Future Cleantech Architects partnered with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) to launch the publication: “Building Tomorrow: Transforming the Construction Sector for Inclusive and Sustainable Growth.”
The publication explores how circular construction, structural efficiency, safer materials, industrial innovation, and resource-efficient approaches can help accelerate the transition toward more resilient, competitive, and low-emission industrial systems.
We often discuss the decarbonization of the construction sector, responsible for more than a third of global emissions, by focusing on producing building materials with clean energy, such as with green cement or green steel. Yet one of the fastest and most cost-effective ways to reduce emissions is often overlooked: using fewer materials in the first place. This is structural efficiency: a key lever for reducing the environmental footprint of buildings and infrastructure.
