Future Cleantech Architects was honored to attend the first General Assembly of the Critical Chemicals Alliance convened by the European Commission, as a follow-up of the EU Chemicals Action Plan.
The Alliance aims at:
- Identifying and mapping critical chemical molecules and production sites.
- Strengthening resilience and competitiveness of the European chemicals ecosystem.
- Supporting evidence-based policymaking, investment prioritization, and lead markets.
- Fostering coordinated action across Member States on energy, trade, and industrial transition.
Chemicals are foundational to Europe’s industrial base. As a technical think tank focused on innovation, cleantech, and the decarbonization of hard-to-abate industries, Future Cleantech Architects will contribute to the following areas:
- – Technology- and system-level expertise on electrification, clean molecules, and innovative industrial transformation pathways.
- – Cross-sectoral analysis linking chemicals with energy, mobility, and downstream industrial value chains.
- – Evidence-based insights to support policy design, investment decisions, and scale-up of clean industrial solutions.
We look forward to actively engaging in the Alliance’s working groups and contributing to these critical efforts led by the European Commission.
