AgilOLab - FCA wins research grant on agile, sustainable innovation methods

Overview

The AgilOLab research project aims to offer SMEs in the Bergisches Land region an integrative concept for the agile, sustainable design of their work and organizational structures. The intention is to modernize business models and stimulate strategic innovations. Needs, usage contexts, and the everyday work of target groups will be systematically identified and translated into solutions resulting in a sustainable competency structure for agile working. Both stakeholders and users will be involved proactively and as early as possible in the development process. The resulting structures are intended to provide family-run, manufacturing SMEs with a prime example of digital and agile work organization, thus making the companies fit for innovation and the future. Through the direct and practical involvement of companies from various areas, other sectors and industries should also be able to apply the modular structures and software components.

What?

Supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, we are co-leading a consortium on making traditional industrial producers more agile and sustainable in their methods and approaches.

How?

FCA will serve as a pioneering work environment to test agile methods of cooperation. The systemic integration of our collective intelligence-based organizational models will serve to increase the ambidexterity of traditional producers, making them both more sustainable and more competitive.

When?

The project began in 2021 and will run until 2024.
