Anchoring innovation in the European Renewables Energy Directive’s revision (RED III)
We were asked by European lawmakers to share our thoughts on how to integrate support for high-impact innovation in the process of revising upcoming legislation on renewables. For this, we teamed up with our friends from EUREC – The Association of European Renewable Energy Research Centres.
Our recommendation of 5% for innovative renewables was included as indicative target in the provisional deal:
We should adopt specific sub-targets for innovative RES within the renewable energy targets in RED III.
Future Cleantech Architects provided its feedback on Terna’s assessment “STUDIO SULLE TECNOLOGIE DI RIFERIMENTO PER LO STOCCAGGIO DI ENERGIA ELETTRICA,” in line with Resolution 247/2023/R/EEL, open for consultation until 4 September 2023. Including:
