We are happy to share that Future Cleantech Architects is officially a new member of DG Mobility & Transport’s Renewable and Low-Carbon Fuels Value Chain Industrial Alliance (RLCF Alliance). The RLCF Alliance is an innovative EU initiative focused on enhancing the manufacturing and distribution of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAFs) and Sustainable Maritime Fuels (SMFs). The Alliance supports the implementation of the RefuelEU Aviation and FuelEU Maritime Regulations, collaborating closely to facilitate the shift towards a greener and more sustainable future.
Our EU Policy Manager, Marlène Siméon, attended the General Assembly in the European Commission last week. Some of our key takeaways are:
✅ Collaboration is essential – synergies between sectors and stakeholders along the value chain are critical, and innovations like Book and Claim can help reduce costs (you can find the link to our policy brief below).
✅ The Clean Industrial Deal will boost industrial competitiveness, with a particular focus on aviation and maritime transport.
✅ The STIP (Sustainable Transport Investment Plan) will be pivotal in making investments in sustainable fuels faster and more accessible across the EU, focusing on sustainable fuels projects bankability
We also heard about real-world examples such as SAF mandates in France and eSAF roadmaps in the Netherlands – both essential steps towards decarbonizing aviation. At FCA, we are excited to be part of this vital conversation and to help drive innovation in SAF assessment and aviation decarbonization.
