This session will focus on technological innovations in alternative renewable electricity generation. Attention will be paid to the increasing demand for electricity and the need for more flexible energy sources next to conventional solutions such as solar and wind. The discussion will focus on effective policy tools to develop and scale innovative technologies faster.

The session will focus on enhancing support and accelerating Research, Development, and Demonstration (RD&D) in critical sectors. Key topics of discussion will include identifying the most effective stakeholders for driving RD&D, exploring specific tools to implement the necessary changes, and determining the technologies currently facing the most significant RD&D needs.
